Academics

The Curriculums:

The school follows the C.B.S.E. pattern syllabus and for this purpose uses NCERT text books. Text books and reference books by private publishers are also used wherever they are found to be necessary.

 

Self Study:

Students are encouraged to study at home. They are given home work Assignments to be completed at home which are checked regularly by the teachers at school. The slow learners may be abused to seek help form these parents to complete these work at home.

 

Report Cards:

The report cards are very important part of the academic program. It inform not only about the academic achievement of the students but also puts emphasis on the amount of effort being put in by him or her. It also indicates through the informative comments written by the teachers. Where the strengths and weaknesses of the students lie.

 

Promotion:

Promotion is based on the combined marks of the October and April examinations. Students are promoted if they pass and get an aggregate of 35% in each subject. A ‘fail’ in one or more subjects prevents the student from being promoted. If a student fails in one class twice he/she can be removed from school.

 

Project Work:

To make learning creative, more meaningful and to make the students look beyond the text students are assigned projects in various subjects from time to time. This  improves this comprehension, summarizing and presentation abilities.

 

No Tuitions:

Students who are academically weak are given the remedial lessons b their teachers at the school itself. No child needs extra tuitions at home. However, students who are found exceptionally slow learners may be advised to seek help form their parents to complete their work at home.

Sports

To create an all round developed student it is necessary to stress not only on mental but also on physical qualities.

F.S. Strongly believes in the fact that a true sport man possesses the quality of head and heart to promote this, the sport facilities provided are the best in the town. There is a big playground for different sports we have different sport material for different games.

The playground provides training for athletes who compete for various track and field events. Shot put and discus throw are also popular games were as carom and chess also find keen participation.

All students get an opportunity to participate in one sort or another and remain physically fit.

Clubs

Learning with pleasure through clubs.

FS offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and enriching clubs for its students. The clubs provide opportunities for students to enjoy their   hobbies and improve particular skills.

All the students are encouraged to participate in any of the many clubs. Every club teaches formally introduces his/her club to let the children know about the activities in store for them at the beginning of the year.

Some of them for e.g. ‘Sports Club’ which stresses the importance of sports in one’s life and it also develops students physically and mentally to face the challenges of life. Many other clubs cater to building up child’s aptitude seasoning and interest in various subjects children gain knowledge in various fields through experimentation, practical observations and indoor and outdoor activities.

The clubs provide a unique opportunity to interact with their emater parts and exchange ideas through elocutions, extempore, dramaties, debates etc. theseby enhancing their verbal and written communication skills. The emphasis is on creative thinking, improvement of the oratory skills, power of expressions, clarity, diction, pronunciation, presentation skills etc.

Other Activites

Social Service:

The School organizes adventure trips creating awareness. The spirit of service and the dignity of labour is inculcated through meaningful
social service projects that develop a sense of compassion and benefit the less fortunate.

 

Morning Assembly:

A value-based morning assembly emphasizes the School’s secular approach and influences students to understand and enjoy India’s rich heritage and culture. It reinforces ethics, etiquette, values and strengthens moral character.

 

Value Education:

There are value education lessons organized once a week. The Value Education classes are used to reinforce important social and ethical aspects of life in the students. Students present skits, organize debates or write essays on some moral or social theme during these lessons.

 

Other Activities:

The school also conducts various sports activities like basketball, volleyball, football, etc.  Along with all this, various cultural activities are also conducted, like, dance competition, singing competition and so on.
